Life is busy!~ there is always more to do than we ever can do...
But, it is very important to

"Celebrate the Special Moments"

.
.. we do that for birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, and sporting events...
But, equally important, how about the "day-to-day-everyday victories?!" Do we mark it down? Do we "stack stones" - create milestones?
Well, we should! We need to! It is important to ongoing success...
Celebrate the Milestones!
In many ancient traditions, people literally stacked rocks to commemorate special events, accomplishments, landmark special locations, etc... It is a practice with a great purpose. What drives us in the day-to-day is the hope of achievement - the accomplishment of some objective purpose or important task... When we accomplish those tasks, awards and celebration is in order...
What caused me to stop and ponder... Yesterday, a client wrote a very moving and heartfelt thank you ~ at the end of a very memorable day. As a team we had done a focused category sales push with great success!
Her words:
"There are no words to capture where I am tonight:
As the day winds down I find that I have the most contradictory emotions.
I'm elated and yet flat. Thrilled and yet stunned.
There are tears on my cheeks as I think of each of you. The years of friendship and conversations. The hope and expectation of sharing the celebrations of each others careers.

I finally looked at my "leadership" quote from my day planner today...and it

was by Colin Powell:
'There are no secrets to success: don't waste time looking for them. Success
is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty to
those for whom you work, and persistence.'

To each of you...you epitomize that quote.

Cheers,
lift your glass, clink,
thank you!

Love,
Elizabeth

Here are the final figures:

Canada - #2 overall, #1 in four categories
U.S. - # 2008 overall #27, #28, #39 in relationship categories"
CHEERS INDEED!

"The value of life lies not in the length of days, but in the use we make of them." -Montaigne

There is much to celebrate!

Do you celebrate the everyday victories?
How do you "stack stones" - create milestones?
